On her eighteenth birthday, Lykos mated and marked Kat, then rejected her the very next day, to be mated to an Alpha's daughter from another pack, for a political alliance.

With the help of the pack Witch’s magick, who had raised her, she severs the remains of the broken bond, brutally destroying any trace of it.
